WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
 

We are looking for experienced sheet metal foreperson for new construction, commercial improvements, and remodels. The individual in this role will report directly to the Superintendent and will be responsible for managing, planning and working with a team to install Sheetmetal systems and equipment as related to HVAC industry. Candidates should have commercial experience handling, installing HVAC Sheetmetal ductwork, equipment and be comfortable working with little to no supervision.

BASIC JOB DUTIES
 

• Must have strong commercial pipe install experience

• Must have vast knowledge in commercial / industrial HVAC applications including piping, cooling towers, and air handler retrofit and installation

• Must have experience leading teams in associated project work

• Install heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC) in Commercial buildings

• Install HVAC systems in accordance to plan requirements and manufacture specifications

• Install various ducts and duct fittings as required

• Install controls and wiring

• Must be able to read and understand blue prints

• Travel to projects daily as scheduled

• Thermostat setup and configuration

• Proficient in charging and recovering refrigerant

• Proficient in High/Low voltage wiring and circuits

• Proficient in duct modifications and renovations

• Proficiency in brazing, pressure testing, and vacuuming

• Conduct assigned daily job requirements with the utmost safety, quality, and productivity in mind.

• Responsible for skilled use of tools, equipment, and materials pertinent to the plumbing trade.

• Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

• Has and maintains proper use of all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.

• Familiarizes self with project task safety plans, documentation, practices and procedures and executes them during the work day.

• Clean and clear the work area after job has been completed.

• Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles.

• Understanding, recognizing and complying with OSHA safety regulations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 

• Minimum 3 years of experience

• Clean driving record

• Own work boots (steel/reinforced toe optional)

• Own hand tools

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

• Reliable transportation

• Own cell phone

• Lift at least 50 pounds without assistance

• The physical ability to go up and down ladders multiple times per day
