Honest and reliable service has been the Forrest Anderson Plumbing and Air Conditioning way since we began more than 50 years ago. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have greater impact across the United States, we want to share some immediate steps we’ve taken to help keep our staff, our customers and our local communities, safe and healthy.
Like many others, we are closely following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other local and national leadership. We are monitoring new information as it is released and adjusting accordingly.
Due to the fact that much of the services we offer require in-person encounters at a home or business, we want to take the time to communicate with you the following measures that we are taking to prevent exposure.
HERE ARE THE PROCEDURES WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED FOR OUR STAFF AND WE ARE DOING OUR BEST TO FOLLOW THEM.
Upon entering our office or shop, employees are required to wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds using soap and water.
Forrest Anderson is providing hand sanitizers for our technicians to use between and during service calls.
Our offices are monitoring our customer’s requirements concerning COVID-19 and preparing our employees to follow those requirements.
Any employee showing any symptoms of an acute illness are asked to stay home until they are free of fever (100.4*F), signs of a fever, or any other symptoms for at least 24 hours at the start of their shift.
We’ve reminded our employees to use standard health precautions such as the following:
Cover your cough/sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects or surfaces regularly.
Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Avoid shaking hands
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) As a reminder, we can all do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through the use of standard health precautions. At this time the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are recommending that people take the following precautions to remain healthy:
Cover your coughs and sneezes with your sleeve or a disposable tissue and wash your hands after coughing or sneezing.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating, after going to the bathroom, and after sneezing, coughing, or blowing your nose. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
People who are sick should stay home from work, school, or childcare until they are fever-free for 24 hours without medicine.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Wipe down frequently touched surfaces (i.e., doorknobs, tabletops, phones, keyboards) with a disinfectant regularly, both at home and in the workplace.
